Living in Orem, Utah, Nancy Caughron is a single mother of six; she also has grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At the age of fifty-three, she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work at Brigham Young University, and shortly thereafter, she embarked on her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While on the mission, she discovered a passion for writing spiritual essays, which she has done ever since. She also spent five years serving the church in the capacity of young women’s president at the state mental hospital.
