作者序

　　托福考試舉辦四十幾年以來最大的改變終於在 iBT 測驗推出以後實現。新制的 iBT 測驗強調英文聽、說、讀和寫四種能力的整合。東方學生一向的文法強項不再是考試的項目，反而是增加了東方學生的相對弱項 —— Speaking。這麼重大的變革對考生來說當然有一定程度的衝擊。

　　我個人從事托福教學已經超過二十六年，其間參加的紙筆測驗、CBT 電腦測驗和 iBT 測驗超過一百四十次。因此，希望透過這本書將自己的教學經驗與參加多次 iBT 測驗的研究分析彙寫成冊，以幫助考生多加練習逼真題型與體驗新制托福考試的情境。我們準備了兩組試題，題目的組合和正式考試相同。未來各位同學去參加正式考試的時候也將遇到兩種題目組合之中的某一種。

　　筆者建議考生們在閱讀本書時，可以先自我測驗一番，了解一下自己的實力，然後透過光碟內所設計的進行反覆練習，在這項目中，我們設計了很多功能來幫助同學。如遇到不明文義、不知字義，或是對答案有疑義時，可以回到書上看翻譯、中文解析和重要詞彙，以隨時解決你的疑問並提昇你的實力。最後亦勿忽略光碟中的，有二組逼真模擬測驗，是增加臨場經驗的最佳訓練。
