Rocky Collins is a successful toilet cleaner looking for his entrepreneurial break when opportunity arrives in the form of calamity and one Charly Stobble, also a calamity. Set in fictional town Shretlesbury UK, Last Time Stupid connects themes of belief and belonging, idiocy and inspiration, machines and mankind, governance and garbage, process and progress. A layered humorous romp with surprisingly few swear words. May also include dark humour and a sniff of social realism damning society to all hell. You’re welcome. Cast of characters includes: ’Travelatorian’ Ken and offsider Imp, tramps of another era but living this timeline; the perennially out of luck best friend Petes; the Collins family including indomitable Laoise and house shufflers Claire and Hunter; the new breed AI workers Lewis and Eugenia for the impossibly impressive Sir Clef Mongcreef, a leftover inventor whiz from the yuppy 80s. He’s owner of Alison Interneuro, a towering giant of technology for the town and pivotal draw for everyone’s activity - including two private agents, Floyd and Boyd, who are only here to help. Lastly and strangely, the sinister Tankly Leethers who has constructed his own towering enterprise in the badlots.
