Child abuse, Domestic violence both situations that can be left un-recognised. Fortunatly it has now got the support groups that it has long needed. These problems can even be happening within our own families or our friends. As a victim I know only too well how it is easier to keep quiet and not make a fuss but until we do, this misery wont stop. My experience of domestic violence was with my second husband, the first time he hit me he told me it was my fault, I made him. Then he said sorry and promised me it would never happen again it did and the mental cruelty came along with it. As a victim you are made to believe that you are worthless, useless and have no self-worth Eight years later for the safety of my boys and the sanity of myself I found the courage and strength to walk away with just our clothes. My boys now 27yrs and 23yrs continue to support me and have encouraged me to write this book in the hope that I can bring awareness to other sufferers who live this torture from daily and in silence. This is not your fault, and because you deserve more you have to seek help and when you have made this move life just falls into a happy, cheefull wonderfull world "believe me"
