　　故事從一對小男孩的親密友誼開始。12歲的富家少爺阿米爾與僕人哈山，從小一塊長大，年齡相仿的兩人情同兄弟，總是一起玩耍，一起分享有趣的故事。然而，在一場風箏比賽後，發生了一件悲慘不堪的事，永久破壞了兩人之間的情誼，從此各自走上不同的人生道路，可是最後卻也以兩人始料未及的方式，重新連接起彼此的關係。

作者簡介

卡勒德‧胡賽尼（Khaled Hosseini）

　　1965年生於喀布爾，父親為阿富汗外交官。1980年蘇聯入侵阿富汗時，隨全家逃往美國尋求政治庇護。胡賽尼畢業於加州大學聖地牙哥醫學系，現居加州執業。《追風箏的孩子》雖是他的第一本小說，卻因書中角色刻畫生動，故事情節震撼感人，出版後大獲好評，獲得各項新人獎，並躍居全美各大暢銷排行榜，目前正改拍成電影中。
