Abu Sarah is the recipient of the Goldberg Prize for Peace in the Middle East from the Institute of International Education, SOLIDAR’s Silver Rose Award, People to People International’s Eisenhower Medallion, and the Eliav-Sartawi Award for Middle Eastern Journalism. He was named one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Jordan, won the Intercultural Innovation Award from the UN Alliance of Civilizations and BMW Group.
