Measurement of Facilities Management Performance in Ghana’’s Public Hospitals

Daniel Amos is Lecturer at the Department of Estate Management, Faculty of Built and Natural Environment at the Kumasi Technical University, Kumasi, Ghana. Amos holds a Ph.D. degree in Facilities Management from the University of Malaya. His research interest is in facilities management performance measurement, outsourcing and real estate investment appraisal. His recent publications are featured in Building Research and Information, Facilities, Engineering Construction and Architectural Management and Property Management.
Au-Yong Cheong Peng is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Building Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Facilities Management from the Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya. His research interest is in facilities management and building maintenance. He has published several articles in reputable journals. Zairul Nisham Musa is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Estate Management, University of Malaya. He completed his Ph.D. in the area of facilities management related to the management of shopping centres. His main research interest is on facilities management, property management and maintenance management. Another research interest that he is involved in such housing affordability, community well-being, housing’s income index and real estate auction. Outside of academia, he has been appointed by MQA as an evaluation panel and responsibilities to evaluate real estate programme in other institutions. He has also been appointed as a UM’s internal auditor. He currently serves as an editorial member of International Journal of Property Sciences. He teaches Building Technology, Fundamentals of Real Estate Valuation, Maintenance Management, Facilities Management and Research Methodology. He is a co-writer and currently published book titled Auctioneer As a Profession to Dispose Real Estate in Malaysia.
