How many of us truly understand and appreciate the value of living with Amma or having her in our lives? No other mahātmā (spiritually illumined soul) has done what Amma has done for the world. She is fully accessible to all and has embraced more than 38 million people worldwide. Amma is the very personification of dharma and encourages us to lead dharmic lives.
"Dharmo rakṣati rakṣitaḥ" - "Dharma protects those who follow it." In one way or another, all the articles in this book, the third volume of the compilation of talks given by Amma’s monastic children, explain how and why. Drawing on their experiences with Amma and her teachings, they explain why swadharma (one’s duties) is a moral imperative and point out the perils of taking on paradharma (the duties of others). In her message, Amma goes one step further by reminding us of our parama-dharma (highest duty) - recognizing our own divinity.
