The Spots and the Dots

 
　　紅色點點住在山丘的這頭，藍色點點則住在另一頭。紅色點點喜歡玩跳高高的遊戲，每次他們在玩，爸媽總是不厭其煩地提醒：「千萬要記得，不可以跳到山丘的另一頭喔。」小紅點們聽到都聽膩了，爸媽早就重複叮嚀過兩百三十三次了吧，或許還更多咧！
 
　　「如果越過山丘，就會被藍色點點抓走喔！」小紅點的爸媽小時候，也是聽阿公阿嬤反覆告誡他們好多次，就這樣一代傳一代。沒人知道藍色點點會做出什麼事，只知道他們很壞很壞。
 
　　有一天，當一個小紅點和一個小藍點意外在山頂遇見彼此，他們卻發現彼此跟想像的不大一樣……
 
　　偏見是如何產生？差異真的有那麼重要嗎？雙向設計的故事線，可以選擇從紅色點點或藍色點點的視角開始這個故事，當兩條故事線交會，卻不是故事的終點，而是開啟新的可能性的起點。充滿創意的故事設計，不只讀起來有雙倍的樂趣，更適合應用到不同的日常情境或議題思考，啟發爸媽和孩子一起閱讀討論。

　　Helen Baugh worked as a copywriter for more than 20 years, writing for clients such as The Economist and Oxfambefore she started writing for children instead. Her first picture books were published in 2014, by PenguinRandom Houseand HarperCollins. Helen lives in Sussex, UK, with her husband and daughters.

　　Marion Deuchars is a Scottish born, internationally acclaimed, award-winning illustrator. She has been long listed for the Kate Greenaway Medal 2019 and has won several awards for her art, including three D&AD yellow pencils. Marion lives and works in London with her husband.
