There seems to be an abundance of scammers that use identity theft to amass millions, so I came across one of those too, and decided that would be a good manuscript topic. So, I stayed with it and let it play out. Now, I do understand how these "professionals" amass millions from vulnerable and trusting women ... and men. They opened emotions I had long concealed and some feelings I even forgot I had. Damn! Wish the illusion could have been real. It was actually a lot of fun, as I was not financially damaged. Emotionally, however, I have to give credit to my scammer. He did break my heart, and I knew it was not real. However, there were times I truly wondered and wanted to believe it was the real deal. Unfortunately, I had to end it, once the fraud was fully exposed, as I could no longer keep up the ploy and have my scammer believe I was not aware of his intent. At least I have the series for which I was searching and hoping. I even found the male victim whose photos they were using on me. Poor guy -- I received his photos over the course of time with his pictures posted relative to my "love" conversations. My heart goes out to him. The shock, grieving, and mourning are real for every victim. This series provides a whirlwind romance, for sure. Actual texts are provided.
