Tuyeres or tuyères refers to a material that is made of clay or metal and usually lined with fireproof materials, it is used mainly for smelting the metal. This booklet provides us an insight to the production of these pieces of equipment in the late 19th century by the Taws and Hartman Firm. It’s an interesting book, that comes in handy to historical researchers, industrial designers and students exploring the historic manufacturing methods.
