These little stories are extracted from a lifetime observing the human condition. I actually started writing in the early 70s and never stopped. I wrote for a variety of reasons and it became at once my inner research and my therapy. These are my stories, told in snippets and with as much humor as I could muster.
Family and conservative values are pretty important here, but the old-fashioned joy of family is priceless. My children know all these stories by heart... I think I have a couple more volumes in me before my warranty is up.
None of my family is still on the farm, but I still lay claim to the country life of simple work and honest industry. I was raised a barefoot kid in the country. I had a BB gun or .22 Cal rifle and a dog or ten... a little brother and a little sister. These thoughts are built on the memory of a happy childhood, and the insight of wonderful mentors. Whatever bumps in the road, I am glad I was there before E-gadgets and mobile phones. I remember when I was high tech because MY old used bicycle had been replaced by a new, shiny red one... which was quickly stolen.
Read at your own risk... you will only yearn for more life lessons.
