　　莉莉的家門口有一座大山，這座山在那邊好久好久了。但是這座山就矗立在莉莉的窗前，讓她怎麼樣都看不到山的另一邊有什麼。她走向大山大喊：「大山先生，快讓開！」大山先生沒看過這麼沒禮貌的小孩，於是對她颳起了大風、下起了大雨，可是莉莉怎麼也不肯離開。大山先生無可奈何只好幫助莉莉，如願以償的莉莉也決定展開一場新的冒險。

　　「成長」與「友誼」一直都是童書中常見的主題，對莉莉而言，大山先生是她成長過程中的阻礙，因為他擋在窗外害莉莉無法看到更廣闊的世界，但有的時候，這樣的阻礙也能成為助力，就像大山先生一樣，不但幫助莉莉看到了山的另外一邊，還和她成為了好朋友，而莉莉也願意以自己旅途上所見，報答大山先生。

　　Mr Mountain has seen it all - from the arrival of the very first plants and worms, to dinosaurs, mammals, and, more recently... humans. Francesca Sanna is the multi-award-winning author and illustrator of the bestselling books The Journey and Me and My Fear. The Journey was the winner of the 2017 Klaus Flugge Prize and also winner of the 2017 Amnesty CILIP Honour, and was additionally selected for the New York Times Notable Book of 2016. Francesca has also been awarded the Ezra Jack Keats New Author Honor and New Illustrator Honor Award and won the Association for Library Service to Children Notable Children's Book of 2017. Francesca grew up in Italy and is now based in Zurich, Switzerland.
