Dr. Hongbo Hu is the director of Center for Immunology and Hematology and a full professor at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, West China Hospital, Sichuan University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Immunology from the Chinese Academy of Medical Science/Peking Union Medical College and then worked as a postdoc and Instructor at the Baylor College of Medicine and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. He established his independent laboratory at Sichuan University in 2015. Dr. Hu’s research focuses on the regulation of immune cell development and functions, especially the function of protein post-translational modification (ubiquitination) and signaling pathways involved in the development of immune system and immune response, autoimmunity, and cancer immunotherapy.
Xianghui Fu is a full professor at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, West China Hospital, Sichuan University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking Union Medical College, and then worked as a postdoc and staff scientist at the University of Bergen and City of Hope National Medical Center, respectively. His laboratory aims to understand the role of metabolism in human life-threatening diseases, especially cancer and metabolic diseases such as diabetes and NAFLD, and to explore their implications in translational and clinical medicine.
