Imagined Networks in Pre-Modern Italian Literature: Literary Mothers, Literary Sisters

This book presents the untold stories of the forgotten literary mothers and sisters of pre-modern Italian literature, and their practices for proposing and adopting alternative models to the male-dominated canon. Six case studies investigate the works of groundbreaking women writers, the networks they built, and the legacy of their writings.
