Daux Deveraux’s life has gone up in flames.

Once on her way to becoming a valued member of Spec Ops with a group of newfound friends at her side, Daux has found herself at the mercy of those she used to believe in - and they no longer trust her. With Valentin gone, and her friends and teammates arrested alongside her, Daux has no one to turn to but her anger.

When she is released, Daux is broken nearly beyond repair but is offered her life back under the condition that she continues to aid in the search for her father. And in case she resists, Daux is threatened with her sister Amalie’s wellbeing. She agrees to Spec Ops’ terms, but the rage that has been building inside of her since childhood threatens to rear its ugly head.

Vowing revenge on both her father and the people who betrayed her, Daux sets out on a dangerous road of recovery and retribution.

Will her friends be able to bring her back from the brink before she is nothing but a husk of herself? Can Daux salvage what was destroyed and rise from the embers and ashes left in her wake?
