Dr. Vaishali R. Kulkarni earned her B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Karnataka University, India, and her M. Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India. Her research interests include wireless sensor networks, sensor node localization, swarm intelligence, fuzzy logic, and neural networks. She is an active member of IEEE, a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and a member of the Computer Society of India (CSI). Dr. Kulkarni has served as an invited reviewer, session chair, and author at international conferences and journals. Her work includes numerous book chapters, refereed journal articles, and conference papers.
Dr. Thompson Stephan received his Ph.D. from Pondicherry University, India, in 2018. With six years of academic experience, three years of full-time research, and two years in industry, he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Recognized among Stanford/Elsevier’s Top 2% Scientists globally in 2023 and 2024, Dr. Thompson has received several accolades, including the Best Researcher Award (2020) and the Protsahan Research Award (2023) from IEEE Bangalore Section, India. His research focuses on improving the accuracy, performance, and computational efficiency of machine learning and deep learning models. He also explores Interpretable Machine Learning (ML) and Explainable AI (XAI), aiming to ensure fairness and ethics in AI systems. Dr. Stephan is an active reviewer for international journals and serves as a review editor and book editor. His publications are widely represented in IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, and other prestigious venues, contributing significantly to the practical applications of AI.
Dr. Punitha Stephan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from Pondicherry Central University, with a focus on advanced diagnostic techniques for breast cancer using metaheuristic optimization. Her research interests include evolutionary computation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Punitha has published extensively in high-impact journals and conferences, particularly in the areas of medical diagnostics, AI, and optimization techniques. She has also co-authored several book chapters and has been actively involved in research projects.
Prof. Dr. Fadi Al-Turjman received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Queen’s University, Canada, in 2011. He is the advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees on AI and Informatics and Associate Dean for Research at Near East University (NEU), Nicosia. He also heads the Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, and Software Engineering Departments and directs the AI and Robotics Institute and the International Research Center for AI and IoT at NEU. Prof. Al-Turjman has received the 2022 Lifetime Golden Award of Dr. Suat Gunsel from NEU, among other prestigious accolades and best research awards. A leading expert in smart IoT systems, wireless, and mobile networks, he has published over 600 SCI/E papers and authored/edited more than 70 books with top publishers, including IEEE, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, IET, and Springer. He frequently delivers keynotes and plenary talks at international conferences and serves as a guest/associate editor for leading journals such as IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials and Elsevier Sustainable Cities and Society.
Prof. Dr. Thinagaran Perumal, a recipient of the 2014 Early Career Award from the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society for his pioneering work in consumer technologies, completed his Ph.D. at Universiti Putra Malaysia in the area of smart technology and robotics. He is currently the Head of the Department of Computer Science at Universiti Putra Malaysia. His research focuses on the interoperability of smart homes and the Internet of Things (IoT), wearable computing, and cyber-physical systems. Prof. Perumal chairs the National Committee on Standardization for IoT and leads research in cognitive IoT frameworks for smart homes and wearable devices for rehabilitation. He is an active member of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society and serves on the Future Directions Committee on IoT. He has published extensively in IEEE conferences and journals and holds leadership roles in several prominent IEEE conferences, including serving as General Chair of the 2017 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics. Prof. Perumal is currently Vice Chair of the IEEE CTSoc Technical Committee on IoT and Digital Twin, overseeing the society’s technical activities.
