Fretboard Biology Level 6 builds on the material in the previous levels. If you haven’t completed those levels, go back and make sure that you are confident in all the material. In Level 6 you continue your study of Theory, Fretboard Logic, Rhythm Guitar, Improvisation, Chart Writing, and Practice. Work at the pace that fits you.
What’s in Level 6
- In the Theory modules, you will learn about avoid tones, the modes, Composite Minor and modulation. This includes harmonizing each mode and the harmonic analysis of progressions in each of the modes as well as progressions which mix minor modes.In the Fretboard Logic modules, you will learn five patterns of each mode and learn to adapt them from the major and minor pentatonic scale patterns. You will learn to play the arpeggios from the common composite minor progressions in-position. You will learn common progressions in each of the modes.In the Rhythm Guitar modules, you will learn to read chord charts and use style-appropriate parts.In the Chart Writing modules, you will learn to build a chord chart and organize the content of a song on the page in a way that helps the reader perform comfortably.In the Improvisation Modules, you will learn to improvise in each of the modes as well as progressions that mix minor modes.
This is a progressive course. Each module in each level builds on the information from the previous one. You’ll get the most out of the program by staying with the sequence.
