Crash and Burn

Parker Mandli has arrived in Mayville with nothing but the wounds from a nasty breakup and a litany of failures. This time she’s determined to put her mistakes behind her and start a new venture: opening a shoe store in the artsy Tomlinson Street neighborhood--right across the street from Fire Station Two.

Cate Wildman is a no-nonsense, by-the-book firefighter dedicated to her job and her crew. When she’s not saving babies from burning buildings and responding to fifteen-car pile ups, she spends her free time at the local community center--all of which leaves precious little time for romance.

But when Cate shows up to conduct a fire inspection in Parker’s new store, her carefully curated life is thrown into a tailspin. Despite her reservations, Cate is drawn to the energetic, charming Parker and suddenly the attraction that was a distraction becomes more serious than she planned for.

Soon both women find themselves in a romance hotter than a five-alarm fire and are forced to reckon with their pasts. Can Parker let go of her doubt and learn to trust herself again? Will Cate finally leave behind the trauma that’s sabotaged her relationships in the past? Or will the heat of desire cause everything to come crashing down?
